This is Dave's Kestrel that made that trip to Mackinac. The picture was taken a few years later at the Michigan Senior Games held that year near Midland, Michigan. Yes the wheels and tires are newer than those he used on that race.
This is Dave's Softride road bike at the same Michigan Senior Games event. A little heavier but it was the most aerodynamic production bicycle at the time it was first released. Coach Dave used it in Time Trials while he used the Kestrel in the road race events at the games.	This is the Softride at speed from a different perspective. This was taken during the ride with Greg LeMond.
The Coach is shown here, 2nd from right, with his 4 gold medals won at those Games.  Each gold medal qualified the Coach to go to the National Senior Games and compete the next year.  The other people are also medal winners that year at the state level and are his fellow members of the Cherry Capital Cycling Club in Traverse City.
