| The
team was conceived during a summer of casual cycling in 1988. The team name was invented that year. Soon we will publish what the name means. The Captain and Coach were the entire team that year. Evening and weekend casual rides were the norm. The team started out 1989 by also joining a local cycling club. Soon the Stoker and the Crew Captain joined them. |

| The team had
three goals for that year: 1) to complete their first 100 mile (Century) ride early in the spring, 2) to complete the 159 mile One Day Ride Across Michigan, held in September and finish it before dark, 3) to have more fun cycling than humans ought to be allowed. Needless to say, they achieved all three goals. |
