DIVE IN!
"It is the Lord!"
As soon as Peter heard that, he put his coat on.  He had taken it off earlier.  Then he jumped into the water. (John 21:7)
Jesus was killed on a cross, buried in a tomb, and then came to life again.  He went through all of this so that we could live with Jesus in our hearts and know He is real.
This set of scriptures shows how much love God's disciples had for Jesus.  They trusted him an loved his teachings.  Peter was a great example of how love makes you do crazy things. He jumped out of the boat and swam to see Jesus because he was so excited!
Sometimes it's hard to act the way you feel because you're afraid people will make fun of you or treat you differently.  God wants you to go overboard with love and show your love for all.
Discussion Questions:
Have you ever done anything unexpected because you loved someone so much?
Do you think you would have jumped out of the boat to see Jesus, or just sailed in closer with the other disciples?
What could you do to show your love for Jesus and thank him for his life that brings us so much hope today?
